2026 ASI Consumer Survey
The ASI Consumer Survey is a national survey of Australian surfers, giving ASI and its members direct insight into how they shop, what they ride, and what they think of the industry. This year's survey is the first since 2021, making it the most current consumer-level data specific to Australian surf retail and brands available to the industry.
The results help ASI and its members make better-informed decisions, from what retailers stock and how brands position new products, to the trends and challenges ASI raises on behalf of the industry. The findings also feed into ASI's broader work tracking the health of the Australian surf industry, alongside initiatives like ASI Retail Insights.
Every survey is confidential. Individual responses are never shared or identifiable, only aggregated trends and insights.
In July, thousands of Australian surfers told us how they shop, what they ride and what they think of the industry. As promised, everyone who took part went into the draw for a share of $8,025 in prizes from 14 of the biggest names in surf. Below are the brands who backed the survey and the eight winners drawn at random.
