The inaugural ASI Surf Industry Honours Night was held in 2023 at The Sands Resort in Torquay, bringing together more than 180 surf community members for an evening of celebration, camaraderie and fundraising. Emceed by Ronnie Blakey and Rosy Hodge, the night opened with a surprise flash mob before moving into the awards presentation.

A live auction followed, raising more than $20,000 for Ocean Mind, Surfers for Climate and Women's Safety Services of Central Australia, with the night closing out to a live set from musician Scotty Sax.
