Product Manger
Location: Dunsborough, Western Australia
Creatures of Leisure is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Product Manager to own and drive the end‑to‑end product lifecycle across our globally recognised surf hardware range.
This is a hands‑on, brand‑critical role suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of product innovation, commercial outcomes, and operational execution. Working closely with the Brand Manager and cross‑functional teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping future product ranges while ensuring quality, margin, and delivery targets are met.
About the Role
Reporting to the Brand Manager – Creatures of Leisure, the Product Manager is responsible for managing the product lifecycle from concept through to delivery. You’ll own seasonal line planning, product development execution, pricing and margin delivery, supplier relationships, and supply chain coordination.
This role is central to maintaining the performance standards, quality, and brand DNA that Creatures of Leisure is known for, while continuously driving innovation and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Line Planning & Innovation
Develop and maintain seasonal line plans including range architecture, SKU depth, and pricing tiers
Translate market, consumer, and competitor insights into clear product briefs
Guide product innovation while balancing performance, durability, and commercial outcomes
Product Development Lifecycle & Calendar Ownership
Own and manage the seasonal product development calendar and critical path
Coordinate development activities across global production timelines
Identify risks early and drive corrective actions to protect launch dates
Pricing, Margins & Commercial Accountability
Set and manage price targets, landed costs, and margin delivery
Manage supplier quotations, costings, tooling investments, and MOQs
Partner with Brand, Sales, and Finance on pricing and margin strategy
Quality Control & Compliance
Own product quality standards across development and production
Conduct QC checks and manage warranty, fault, and failure processes
Supplier Management, Sourcing & Supply Chain
Own supplier relationships and lead sourcing decisions
Manage lead times, ETDs, and purchase order communication
Travel to suppliers for development, quality control, and relationship management
Stock Modelling & Operational Planning
Partner on stock modelling, demand planning, and buy quantities
Balance MOQs, lead times, and inventory risk
Product Data, Systems & Sample Management
Maintain accurate product data, SKUs, and costing records
Manage development, sales, and marketing samples
Cross‑Functional & Third‑Party Coordination
Work closely with Brand, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, and Finance
Oversee third‑party contractors including developers and testing partners
About You
You’re a commercially driven and highly organised product professional who enjoys owning outcomes and working across multiple stakeholders. You’ll bring:
Product management or product development experience
Experience working with overseas suppliers
Strong commercial and analytical capability
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Clear communication and problem‑solving ability
A passion for surf, performance, or lifestyle products (preferred)
Systems & Tools (Preferred)
Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel)
Adobe Creative Suite
NetSuite
FileMaker
